In an era accelerated by algorithms and weightless pixels, Willem Boronski chooses the resistance of matter. Painter on the Road unfolds as an existential roadmap across 11 stations. Inspired by a lost Van Gogh masterpiece, the ‘Painter’ wanders through a landscape of charcoal and ash, shellac and ink, torn paper — never arriving, only walking.
A protest against the visual poverty of the digital age. While AI calculates motion, Boronski builds it — frame by frame, thread by thread. From the ‘Vertical Paradox’ of the ladder to the ‘Horizontal Drift’ of the open road, this exhibition invites you to stop.
